Little Stork Co. Q&A: Your Guide to Beautiful Birth Announcements
Helpful Answers with Warmth, Care, and a Personal Touch
Q: Do I need a lawn for stork sign installation?
Yes! Our stork signs are installed in traditional grass lawns with accessible soil. We’re unable to place signs in areas with rocks, gravel, concrete, mulch, flower beds, raised planters, or heavy landscaping.
For safety and compliance, we also avoid placing signs near utility boxes, water lines, or city-owned structures. Our team securely installs each sign by placing a stake into the ground to ensure it stays perfectly in place.
Q: When should I reserve my stork?
We do not reserve newborn stork signs in advance, as a baby’s arrival can be unpredictable. For the best chance of having a stork in your yard to welcome the new parents home, please call us on the day the baby is born.
For Baby Showers, Gender Reveals, or Sip & Sees, reservations should be made as early as possible.
Q: How long is the rental period?
Birth announcement storks are typically displayed for 7 days, giving everyone time to celebrate your new arrival.
For events, we offer convenient one-day rentals to add a special touch to your celebration.
Q: Where will my stork sign be placed?
We select the best possible location for your stork sign to ensure maximum visibility and great photo opportunities. However, certain factors such as utility boxes, sprinkler systems, tree roots, hard or rocky ground, limestone, or existing landscaping may affect placement. In these cases, we use our best judgment, and it always turns out beautifully.
If you have a specific location in mind, please let us know when placing your order, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. While we aim to get as close as possible, we cannot guarantee exact placement if you are not home at the time of delivery or if the desired spot is not clearly marked with a visible, physical indicator in the yard.
Q: How do I order and pay?
Ordering is simple! You can book through our website, or reach out by phone, text, or email with your details.
We accept convenient payment options such as credit card via Square. We also take payment via Venmo. Full payment is required prior to delivery to secure your reservation.

To ensure timely delivery, payment must be completed at least 24 hours before your scheduled installation.
If payment is not received, the order may be canceled.
Q: What is your refund policy?
We aim to provide the best experience possible.
Full refunds are available if:
- You cancel at least 24 hours before delivery
- Severe weather prevents installation
Refunds are not available if we’re unable to complete installation due to:
- If we are unable to access a gated community due to a missing or non-working gate code
- If a security guard denies us entry
- If access arrangements have not been made in advance ( Please note: We operate on a tight schedule and cannot wait longer than 10 minutes at a gate while access is being arranged. It is important to coordinate with the gate or security staff ahead of time to ensure smooth entry at the time of delivery.)
- The homeowner or recipient declines setup or requests early removal before the end of the rental period
- A dog or other animal prevents safe access to the property
- The location does not have a suitable lawn – A suitable lawn is defined as an open, unobstructed area of soil topped with grass. We cannot install signs in rocks, pea gravel, concrete, mulch, flower beds, raised beds, garden containers, dense landscaping, or hard-packed soil (such as a driveway). Additionally, yards with significant rock or boulder coverage are not appropriate for installation. For safety and stability, our signs must be staked approximately 10 inches into the ground, which is not possible in the conditions described above.
